Pine wood is soft and light, therefore it can be easily processed. The resin spreads a pleasant scent, however it makes varnishing and staining more difficult. The pine is not a very durable wood, therefore its use is limited. Hard oak wood is much more durable, it is especially used in furniture making and is often processed into floorboards. It cracks in cold weather, therefore it is not recommended for manufactoring doors and windows. Ash wood is an equally durable wood, moreover, it is elastic and moisture susceptible (therefore it is not recommended in areas exposed to moisture).
